In the wake of a dark chapter in my life, I found the strength to rebuild. With each step forward, I embraced the journey of transformation, uncovering a renewed sense of purpose through my family and my work.
For many years, alcohol ruled my life, leading me down a path of destruction and despair. I lost jobs, relationships, and a sense of purpose, finding myself in a vicious cycle of building up a life only to tear it down again with each relapse. I hit rock bottom numerous times, each occasion leaving me with nothing but a burning desire to escape the pain I tried to numb with alcohol. Then, in 2014, I hit a breaking point. I was going to stop taking risks for alcohol and instead take a chance on myself.
I sought help through AA, committing to giving sobriety my all for one year. I figured if my life didn't improve, I could always go back to my old ways. But as the days turned into months, I discovered that life was indeed better without alcohol. The fog lifted, and I began to see a future for myself, one filled with hope and possibility.
With a newfound clarity, I embraced the journey of rebuilding my life. I found strength in the simple mantra that to have self-esteem, one must do estimable things. I started focusing on giving more to the world than I took from it, appreciating the little things, and learning not to sweat the small stuff.
My transformation gained momentum when I met my wife, Candace. She became my partner in life and business, and together we built a life that once seemed impossible. Candace had two daughters, Grace and Madelyn, whom I consider my own, and together we welcomed our son, Charlie. Our family became my anchor, giving me a sense of purpose and drive I had never known before.
Professionally, I found my calling in real estate. The decision to leave my job in carpentry and dive into the real estate business was a leap of faith, but one that paid off immensely. The first year was tough; we lived off debt, barely making ends meet. However, my determination and the unwavering support from Candace kept me going. Slowly but surely, I started closing deals, and our business began to grow.
Candace, always the visionary, joined me in the business, bringing her incredible research skills and marketing prowess. Together, we developed strategies, created social media campaigns, and established a strong presence in the community. We focused on building genuine relationships with our clients, understanding their needs, and negotiating the best deals for them. This approach paid off, and our business grew each year.
Having faced and overcome the challenges of alcoholism, I understand the importance of having a stable, supportive environment. Each transaction is an opportunity to help families find their dream homes, providing them with a foundation for creating lasting memories, much like the stability I sought during my recovery. Financial success is great, but it's the personal connections and the ability to positively impact my clients' lives that make real estate not just a job, but a deeply fulfilling passion for me.
Our journey in real estate has allowed us to reach milestones we once only dreamed of. Our success stems from a fearless approach to risk-taking. Having lost everything before, I know that as long as I have my family, I have everything I need. We're dedicated to growing our business while staying true to our values and serving our community. My life serves as a testament that no matter how dark times may be, there will always be a path to redemption and the possibility of rebuilding. I’m grateful to my loved ones the clients who have entrusted me to help them as they enter their own new chapters in life.
Through real estate, I strive to create a legacy that my children can be proud of. As a father, I relate to my clients and their family on a personal level, forming genuine connections to make the process fun and rewarding. The level of care and commitment I provide helps build trust and rapport, making me more than just a real estate agent—I become a trusted advisor and friend. I'm motivated not by the number of transactions but by the positive impact I can make.
With a wealth of knowledge, having a past career in construction building houses from the ground up, I can identify potential red flags while also finding the hidden gems. My clients trust me to look out for their best interests, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. I specialize in working with move-up buyers, managing the complex process of selling their current home while helping them purchase a new one. My ability to juggle the many moving pieces and keep everything on track ensures a seamless transition for my clients. Even after the transaction is over, I am committed to supporting you in any way you need as your REALTOR® and friend for life!
